From the A75 (Dumfries Bypass) turn off at the 'Garroch' roundabout 1.5 miles West of Dumfries (clearly marked). Drive for half a mile and take the A711 for 14 miles to Dalbeattie, then turn off left either up the 'High Street' (for shopping), or after a further 400 metres left at the cross-roads at the edge of town where marked 'Colvend Coast' on A710. After 3.5 miles the park entrance is to the right, on the main road 200 meters past the road to Kippford. (N.B; If you took the High Street choice it joins the A710 too, so at its end turn left and go 2.75 miles.)
